It appears you’ll have to view it from afar and take images that will just turn out blue. Wouldn’t it be great to have a little more time to hang out with that manta ray? Nitrox is a diving gas that has increased oxygen and decreased nitrogen in the mix. By reducing the nitrogen that enters our tissues we are able to extend our bottom times.

More Repetitive Dives

When you are diving nitrox you can dive more often. Again, one of the major limiting factors in diving is nitrogen. With less nitrogen in your body your surface intervals are shortened. This means, you can turn those 2-tank boat dives into 3-tank boat dives! More, and longer, dives is what every diver wants. How Your Enriched Air “Nitrox” Diver Course Works

During your Nitrox course you’ll learn more about the effects of diving air with higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content. Also, you’ll find out which equipment is suitable for nitrox diving and why. During some hands-on training you’ll practice analyzing the oxygen content in your tank. Then, we’ll show you how to work with the gas settings on a dive computer.

The Enriched Air Diver course does not require any dives. However, if you would like to use this course towards your Advanced Open Water certification you will perform two dives on nitrox with an Instructor.
