What You Get to Do as an Assistant Instructor
Becoming an Assistant Instructor is your first step toward refining the skills you’ll use as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. Under the guidance of a certified instructor, you’ll learn to deliver knowledge-development sessions for any PADI Diver course, assist with introducing skills during confined water dives, and conduct surface evaluations during Open Water Diver training. You’ll also be qualified to teach and certify Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Divers.
As an Assistant Instructor, you’ll have the opportunity to lead some activities independently as well. You can teach non-diving Project AWARE courses, Coral Reef Conservation, and supervise Discover Scuba Diving experiences in a pool or confined water. Plus, you’ll be able to introduce young adventurers to the underwater world through the Bubblemaker and PADI Seal Team programs.
How You Assistant Instructor Course Works
