Tired Of Waiting Out Winter So You Can Dive Again?
Sitting at home and thinking about diving is not the same as actually get out and making some dives. Many of you hang up your dive gear for the season once the water temperature starts to drop. You may not even dust it off until it's 30 straight days over 100 degrees even! You don't have to stay out of the water for that long. Becoming a Dry Suit Diver will eliminate your winter land boredom and get you back in the water. Equipped with a dry suit and the expertise gained from this course you'll be able to dive year-round.
What is a Dry Suit and How Do You Use One?
This is exactly what you learn from your PADI Dry Suit Diver course. Dry suits keep us dry as opposed to wetsuits which trap water between us and the suit. This means that we don't get as cold while diving from the direct contact with the water. Also, we can layer underneath many dry suits for added warmth. With a dry suit we can pretty much dive when and wherever we want.
So, if you want to dive between two continents at Silfra in the Thingvellir National Park in Iceland you're going to need to know how to dive a dry suit!
How Your Dry Suit Diver Class Works
During your course, you will learn how to properly put on and remove your dry suit with minimal assistance. Then, you're going to get in the water with your instructor to work on your dry suit diving skills. During this training, you will learn buoyancy control using your dry suit and the safety procedures required for diving dry. Once you've completed your course you'll be better prepared for your Antarctica trip where you can learn how your buoyancy changes as you near an iceberg!
Keep in mind, we offer the PADI Dry Suit Diver course for free with the purchase of a dry suit. And, when looking for a dry suit you want to make sure you get the best. Like the TLS350 from Diving Unlimited International!
